1. Qual è Il tuo piatto preferito? – What’s your favourite dish?

Il mio piatto preferito… devo proprio sceglierne uno solo?!  Amo le spezie, uno dei miei piatti preferiti é il curry verde tailandese… un mix di aromi che è una delizia per il palato!

My favourite dish… do I really have to pick just one?! I love spices, one of my favourite dishes is green thai curry… it’s a mix of flavours that is just delicious!

2. Quante paia di scarpe hai? – How many pairs of shoes have you got?

Sinceramente non le ho mai contate… 😉

I actually have never counted them… 😉

3. Ad una festa, ti butti sul dolce o sul salato? – At a party, do you prefer sweet or savoury?

Perchè bisogna scegliere? 😉 Inizio con il salato e poi mi butto sul dolce!

Why do I have to choose? 😉 I start with savoury and then on to the sweet!

Anche se… ho una preferenza per il dolce… Although… I do have a sweet tooth…

4. Quale tipologia di blog segui per la maggiore? – What kind of blogs do you mainly follow?

5. Qual è il viaggio più bello che hai fatto? – What’s your most memorable travel?

Ho avuto la fortuna, per i miei 24 anni, di viaggiare molto ed ogni viaggio mi ha lasciato qualcosa. Non saprei scegliere il più bello perchè ogni luogo ha la sua storia, le sue meraviglie, le sue tradizioni e naturalmente, ogni viaggio è accompagnato dalle proprie avventure, che tengo racchiuse nella mia scatola della memoria.

I’ve been lucky enough, for being 24, to have traveled a lot and each trip has left me with something special. I couldn’t choose the best one because each place has its history, its marvels and its traditions and of course, each travel has its story, which I keep stored in my memory box.

6. Perchè hai deciso di aprire un blog? – Why did you decide to open a blog?

Ho iniziato il blog in un periodo nel quale ero disoccupata. Ho cominciato cosi a pasticciare in cucina e ho deciso di tenere una specie di diario on-line dove tener nota di tutte le ricette che provo e così è nato Ely’s Kitchen.

I started the blog in a time I was unemployed. I began messing around in the kitchen and then decided I wanted to have a place where to keep all the recipes I tried, thus Ely’s Kitchen was born.

7. Cosa ti piace scrivere di più nel tuo blog?

Premesso che la scrittura non è mai stato il mio forte… mi piace tener nota delle ricette che provo e raccontare dei viaggi che faccio.

Granted that writing is not really what I would call “a skill I have”… I like keeping note of the recipes I try and tell about the trips I take.

8. Di cosa parli nel tuo blog? – What do you talk about in your blog?

Beh, quello che è menzionato nelle risposte precedenti!

Well, what I’ve mentioned in the previous answers of course!
9. Un’esperienza positiva nella tua vita? – A positive experience in your life?

Questo piccolo angelo arrivato dal Tchad. Quando papà era in missione in Africa, nel suo ospedale militare arrivò questa piccola bimba, che a l’età di 3 anni cadde nel fuoco e si bruciò gambe e braccia. Purtroppo a causa di questo incidente perse una gamba da sotto il ginocchio in giù. In Tchad era molto difficile curarla, le condizioni igieniche sono scarse, e le sue ferite non riuscivano a rimarginarsi. Così papà si mise in moto e riuscì, con l’aiuto della Fondazione Luchetta, a portarla in Italia dove fu curata e le fu messa una protesi alla gamba. Ora Nesram (o Nourasham) ha 8-9 anni, vive a Trieste e gioca a Basket. Non potrei aver avuto gioia più grande.

This little angel arrived from Tchad. When dad was in Africa, at his military hospital this little girl arrived, who age 3 had fallen in a fire and burnt her legs and arms. Unfortunately due to this accident she lost a leg from below the knee. In Tchad it was very difficult taking care of her, the hygienic conditions are not very favourable and her wounds were not healing. So dad did all he could and with the help of the association Fondazione Luchetta, he managed taking her to Italy where she got all the cures she needed and eventually got a new leg to. Now Nesram (or Nourasham) is 8-9 years old, lives in Trieste and plays Basketball. I could not have had a greater joy than this.

10. Un tuo difetto e un pregio? A virtue and weakness?

Posso essere molto emotiva ed analizzare anche la cosa più banale in maniera Freudiana. Un pregio, cerco di essere sempre positiva e sorridere ogni giorno =)

I can be very emotional and analyze even the most trivial thing in a Freudian way. A virtue, I try to always be positive and smile everyday =)
